Italy | Bologna | Canals of Bologna | Via delle Moline | Moline Canal | Moline Canal Drop | Reno Canal | Savena Canal
Most people know about the canals in Venice, but fewer are aware that another of Italy's cities is also the home to a network of canals. Today, the Canals of Bologna are more hidden as they are not flowing with water (and, therefore, boats are not gliding through the city carrying passengers from point to point). There are, however, tours available to help visitors find the canals.

Social Media Description
Upon our arrival in Bologna, our first mission was to find the Canals of Bologna. Over the years they have apparently become more and more obscured by buildings, bridges and the like.
Fun fact: The water in the canals was used to power wheels used by the silk industry in years gone by.
