Ireland | Cobh | DIY Tour | Port of Cobh | Harbour Stroll | Cork | Titanic Monument | Titanic Experience | St. Colman's Cathedral
When our cruise ship was docked at the Port of Cobh, we spent most of our day in Cork, just a short train ride away. We planned
our return travels so that we had some time to explore the harbor area of Cobh. While Cobh may not be talked about as much as
Cork, there is plenty to do there to fill a day. The city is probably most known for the Titanic monuments and museums. It was
actually the departure point for the final 123 passengers who boarded the Titanic on its fateful maiden voyage to America.

When our ship docked at the Port of Cobh, we admittedly spent much of our day in Cork. Before boarding the ship at the end of
the day, we did spend a couple of hours exploring the harbor near the port. There was actually a lot of action - park areas filled
with people enjoying a lovely day plus interesting historical monuments and statues along the harbor walk. We could definitely
have filled a full day just in the port area!
Would you prefer to ride in to Cork or explore the port area of Cobh? .
