Our one and only river cruise (to date) was along the Rhine River in 2014. The Viking Sun took us from Amsterdam to Basel, Switzerland. When we arrived in Cologne, our group of 4 decided to go off and explore the city on our own. We enjoyed wandering up, down and all around the streets and narrow alleyways. It's fun to just look at the colorful buildings (home to pubs, inns, gastro-bars, restaurants ...) from the outside. But, we are glad that we took time to go "inside" in Cologne as well - we loved our dinner and so much more in this city along the Rhine.
What river cruises have you most enjoyed ... or which rivers would you like to cruise? (We want to cruise the Mississippi and the Danube!)
