Five of Royal Caribbean's Quantum and Quantum Ultra Class ships offer the North Star Experience. Passengers can board an observation capsule for a bird's eye 360-degree view at 300 feet above sea level. (It's advertised as the tallest viewing deck on a cruise ship!) On port days, a limited number of 10 to 15 minute complimentary time slots are available. On sea days, passengers willing to fork out a little cash can take a longer ride with the capsule extending over the side of the ship (rather than just straight up).
