An opportunity to shotgun moonshine is available during a farm-to-table chef's lunch at Quinta da Bela in Portugal's Douro Valley. (Get there on a day trip from Porto organized by "A Day in Douro".) Your moonshine shot will be served in a porron (traditional glass wine pitcher). These pitchers originated in Spain's Catalonia region and allow everyone to drink from the same pitcher without sharing germs!

Our first surprise of the afternoon was an optional one - a taste of moonshine. (And, to those who chose to imbibe, the shot was served in a porron.) So happy that Scott was brave enough to participate!
Would you "shotgun moonshine" when in Portugal's Douro Valley?
