Even when the freshwater pool at the base of the Durian Perangin Waterfall is shallow, seeing and hearing the cascading water is still mesmerizing. When the temperatures are right, you'll see many locals and visitors enjoying picnics and even refreshing dips in the cool waters. You'll sometimes see hikers undertaking the difficult climb to the top of the waterfall where they are treated with a view of both the valley and the coast.

Although we didn't get to see Langkawi's Durian Perangin Waterfall during the rainy season when the cascade is at its fullest, we enjoyed our hike to see the falling water in January.
