Tanzania | Arusha | Mara | Serengeti National Park | Safari | Game Drive | Maasai Wanderings | Elephant | Elephants
Just like you've probably seen in movies, when elephants travel together, they walk in a single file line! It's the mom's who lead elephant herds (families). A mother, along with her sisters and daughters and their babies will frequently be seen hanging out (and traveling) together. The males (referred to as bulls) usually hang with the family until their early teen years when they will either become independent or find other bulls to socialize with.
