Guadeloupe | Plage de la Datcha | Ilet du Gosier | Gosier Island | Beach Break | Hike | Lighthouse | Overlook | Chickens
After making your way from Plage de la Datcha to Ilet du Gosier (either by ferry, kayak or even by swimming), it's time to decide how to spend your day. If you are up for getting in a little exercise, take some time to explore the tiny uninhabited island. There's short hiking trails, a lighthouse (it's no longer in operation but there are stairs to an overlook) and chickens roaming about. Make sure to take a peek at the side of the island that faces out to sea - although it is not as calm as the side facing land, it is quite picturesque!

In our half-day on Ilet du Gosier, we were able to explore the entire island (yes, it is tiny) on foot. After climbing the lighthouse, we "hiked" to the far side of the island before returning back to the calmer and more populated (with people and chickens) side.
