Listening to Local Songs at the Cruise Port in Fiji

As we disembarked our cruise ship in the South Pacific island of Fiji, we were greeted by these two locals singing and playing their ukuleles. It set the mood so perfectly for our day on the island. Our tour of the island included riding horses through the jungle to a private waterfall (Sure wish that had brought our swim suits to swim!) Our last stop was to enjoy a tremendous dinner all while watching the sunset.

Social Media Description

Do you enjoy the entertainment provided by locals at cruise ports.

We have actually found that, in many ports, we rather like the entertainment. Sometimes there are performances as you disembark and others when you return back to the ship. When we were in Fiji, there were two locals who did an awesome job of starting our day with island vibes! All the better for a great day with a private guide.

What local entertainment has made an impression on you as you have cruised around the world? #UkuleleGreeting #fiji #cruise #CruiseVacation #CruiseBlogger #WordyExplorers

The planning stage of a cruise is often just as enjoyable as the voyage itself, letting one's imagination loose on all kinds of possibilities. Yet translating dreams into reality means a lot of practical questions have to be answered. - Jimmy Cornell
