Portugal | Fatima | Valinhos | Aljustrel | Via Sacra | The Sacred Way | Pilgrimage Route | Stations of the Cross | Shepherd Children
Depending on how much time (and energy) you have, your visit to Fatima can include the 35-minute (each way) walk along the Via Sacra (The Sacred Way). The path follows the route that the three shepherd children took between their homes in Aljustrel to Cova da Iria (the site of the first apparition). Today, you'll find fifteen chapels (Stations of the Cross) and other religious monuments along the way.

We saved enough time during our stop in Fatima to complete the round-trip walk along the Via Sacra (SacredWay) from the Sanctuary to the houses where the shepherd children lived.
