Hungary | Budapest | Danube River | Buda | Castle Hill | Buda Castle | Fisherman's Bastion | UNESCO | Viewpoint | Panorama | Architecture
One of Budapest's most visited places is Fisherman's Bastion located on Castle Hill. Built between 1895 and 1902 and restored after damage during World War II by the original architect's son, Fisherman's Bastion is more than just a place for amazing views of the Danube River, the Hungarian Parliament building and the "Pest" side of Budapest. With walls that resemble the towers of a castle, even travelers who cruise on the Danube look up and admire the viewing platform atop Castle Hill.

Social Media Description
As we were planning our time in Budapest, Fisherman's Bastion was overwhelmingly the number one site recommended. Whether it was tips from other bloggers, tour descriptions or articles about the city, nearly everything we read said it was a "must visit".
