Exploring the Mosaic Mania at Fusterlandia

Artist Jose Fuster purchased a home in the neighborhood of Jaimanitas located on the outskirts of Havana's western side. Beginning in 1975, he started covering the outside walls and walkways with tile. His creative mosaics have become a free tourist attraction and a must see for visitors to Havana. In addition to his private residence, his mosaic artwork now covers additional residences and other buildings, benches, bus stops and more on the surrounding streets.

Do you enjoy outdoor art?

Many people have heard of Barcelona's Park Guell. It seems that not as many are familiar with Havana's Fusterlandia.

During our two port days in Havana in 2018, one of our stops was to explore the amazing mosaic artwork of Jose Fuster. The bright colors and unique designs are definitely a sight to see. Strolling around each of the levels of the property is free. There are also some artists' workshops where you can purchase a piece of artwork as a remembrance of your visit.

Where have you seen some amazing outdoor artwork?
