Visitors to some of America's National Parks sometimes cause traffic jams known as bear jams. A bear
jam is caused when one or more motorists stop their car on the road so that they can get a closer look at
or a great photo of a bear that they have spotted.

Have you been in a bear jam?
Our first experience with a bear jam was in the summer of 2017 at Glacier National Park. All of a sudden,
we realized that the cars in front of us had all come to a halt. We knew that it probably had to be a bear
jam, but couldn't see a bear. As some cars finally left, we slowly moved up and could finally see a bear
just walking back and forth in a large patch of grass!
