Panama City's Gulf World is home to animal species including dolphins, penguins, sea lions, seals, sea turtles, stingrays and tropical birds. Originally opened in 1970 and expanded in 2000, the venue is both educational and fun for all ages. Rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing animals is Gulf World's primary mission. "Performances" featuring tropical birds and marine animals are scheduled for visitors who can also watch the animals interact with each other.

We were in search of fun things to do when our friends from south Florida visited us at Sky High Beach Vibes. Finally, more than 1 1/2 years after purchasing our Panama City Beach vacation condo, we made it to Gulf World. Although the activities are less frequent during the off-season, there are still opportunities to interact with the animals and fill the better part of a day!
