Peace, Quiet and Seclusion at Pu'u Poa Beach

Pu'u Poa Beach, in northern Kauai's Princeville area, sits near Hanalei Bay Resort and the Princeville St. Regis Hotel. Because of its location, the beach is quite secluded. In order to spend time at Pu'u Poa Beach, visitors that aren't guests of one of the two nearby hotels must hike to get to the beach. The reward is a nicely shaded beach with beautiful views - especially at sunset!

For us, we enjoy both for different reasons. It all depends on our mood! There are times when we really enjoy people watching and seeing all of the goings on at some beaches. But, there are other times when we just want to spend time relaxing at a more peaceful beach.

Pu'u Poa Beach, near Princeville in northeast Kauai, falls into the secluded category - just getting to the beach requires a hike!
