I hate that we missed out on the view of Puerto Plata from above - but we'll do it next time we are there!
Many organized tours make a stop at Isabel de Torres, but we plan on getting to the peak on our own. If the new port's free trolley offers service to Isabel del Torres, we'll go that way. If not, a taxi to the base of the mountain is in our future. Then, we'll ride the funicular to the top for the view ... plus to see the botanical garden, fort and Christ the Redeemer statue.
