Czech Republic | Prague | Mala Strana | Lesser Town | John Lennon Wall | Art | Graffiti | Memorial | Peace | Free Speech | Maltese Gardens
What started as a painting of John Lennon on a wall surrounding Prague's Maltese Gardens is now an ever-changing multi-colored graffiti-filled wall. It was shortly after Lennon's 1980 murder that the image first appeared on a wall opposite the French Embassy. The wall has been white-washed multiple times, only to be quickly covered in paint again. Today, passersby will find peace messages, images, quotes, lyrics from Beatles songs and so much more.

Social Media Description
Even though the Lennon Wall covers just a part of the wall surrounding the Maltese Gardens in Lesser Town, it is still mentioned in most of the "Prague must see" lists!
Fun fact: Although the wall started with an image of Lennon, it is believed that John Lennon had never visited Prague.
