Become One with Nature at Lynn Canyon Park

If you are a walker or hiker or just enjoy being outside enjoying nature, no visit to Vancouver is complete without at least a half-day in Lynn Canyon Park. The park opened in 1912 and today is home to trees ranging from 80 to 100 years old. Choosing from the many hiking trails can be made easier by deciding your goal for the day. Do you want to see waterfalls, cool off in one of the swimming holes or get your steps in on a leisurely walk or a tougher uphill climb? Look for signage inside the park and enjoy nature at its best!

Social Media Description

When you vacation in a new city, do you ever seek out places to hike (or spend time in nature)?

Since we both strive to hit step goals (plus we enjoy hiking and scenery), we regularly search for highly recommended parks, natural area and other places where we can see less touristy areas of cities. We found just that at Vancouver's Lynn Canyon Park. Because of its waterfalls, swimming holes (including the popular 30 Foot Pool) and natural setting among tall trees, the park is regularly visited by locals and tourists alike.

Fun fact: There's no entrance fee to Lynn Canyon Park ... and the park is home to a suspension bridge that "swings" over 150 feet above the canyon.

Do you try to find hiking opportunities when you travel?
