All Lit Up and Floating Through Downtown Marshall

Each year in early December, locals and visitors line the streets of downtown Marshall, Texas to watch the Wonderland of Lights Lighted Christmas Parade. The theme of the 2023 parade was "Let it Snow" and was hosted by the Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce on the first Saturday of the month. According to reports, over 100 floats paraded along the route passing by a team of judges set up on the back side of the historic courthouse.

We are interrupting our memories from our weeks in Africa to share some of the Christmas cheer that we've experienced during our more local travels in the United States.

We left our Florida condo early this month in time to get to Dallas to see the Broadway Across America production of "MJ, the Musical". Our one night stay in Marshall, Texas coincidentally was on the night of the city's annual Lighted Christmas Parade, so we decided to join in on the fun!
