We got so lucky on the days that we spent at Poipu Beach in Kauai. The Hawaiian Monk Seal is high on the world's most endangered species list - and we saw more than one! Yes, that's right - on two different days we saw, not just one but, two monk seals just lounging on the sand. Since sightings are quite rare, we felt especially lucky!
