Remembering the Great Notre Dame Rose Window

On our trip to Paris before the Notre Dame fire, we were able to see the famous cathedral with its beautiful rose window. This trip is a perfect example of why you should always appreciate great works of art and history. You never know when they could be lost or damaged due to a natural or man-made disaster. We always try to capture pictures of the many impressive things that we see when we travel either around the world or even down the street!

Do you have memories of visiting a historic place that has since been damaged?

We have such great memories of our first river cruise in 2014. Before the cruise, we spent some time in Switzerland before heading to Paris for several days. We saw and did as much as we could on foot during the time that we had. One of our favorite memories was going to Notre Dame Cathedral where we admired the great rose window. Fortunately the windows were not destroyed in the 2019 fire.

What memories do you have of a destination that has been damaged since your visit?
