Any visit to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach, Alabama should include a stop at The Wharf, the entertainment district for the area. Advertised as "the largest Ferris wheel in the Southeast", be sure to save some time to go around and around to soak in the views of the Alabama coastline during the day or the city lights in the evening.

Before leaving home for Orange Beach, I was looking at the online Visitor's Guide and noticed a discount code for the Ferris Wheel at The Wharf. The Wharf is the city's entertainment district full of retail shops, restaurants and other attractions. I'm so glad that we didn't miss the Ferris Wheel - it's said to be the largest in the southeast. (And, the regular price is only $8 for adults!)
