Lake Como's Passeggiata Lino Gelpi measures in at just over 1/2 mile in length (one way). The good news is that the views are stunning throughout the entire distance. There's benches along the way so walkers can pause to appreciate the scenery. Near the end of the promenade, don't miss the gardens at Villa Olmo. (The walk from the city to gardens takes less than 30 minutes for most people.)
