Portugal | Lisbon | Day Trip | Sintra | Peña Palace | Palacio de Pena | Pena Park | Parque de Pena | UNESCO | Forest | Gardens
Surrounding the Palacio de Pena (Pena Palace) are nearly 500 acres known as Pena Park (Parque de Pena). The park is filled with paths winding through an area resembling a forest where you'll also find streams, lakes, fountains and waterfalls. When walking with a purpose, the uphill distance from the entrance to the park to the palace entrance can probably be completed in fifteen minutes. Most, however, take much longer to soak in the beauty found within the park.

Sure wish we had more time to spend admiring the beauty of Pena Park. The lush greenery and water features surrounding the uphill path make the entrance to Pena Palace even more dramatic!
