From Aswan, getting to the island where the Philae Temple complex is located requires riding a boat departing from Marina Philae Temple. The temples that make up the complex usually referred to as the Philae Temple are now located on the island of Agilkia. Originally on the island of Philae, the temples had to be moved so that they could be rescued from being submerged during the Aswan High Dam construction.
