Texas | Port O'Connor | Full Moon | Strawberry Moon | Lunar | Night Sky | Evening Sky | Moonlight | Nature
Approximately once each month, the earth is directly between the sun and the moon. When this happens, those of us on earth see the moon fully lit up by the sun making it appear full. June's full moon is sometimes referred to as the "Strawberry Moon" (named for the month of strawberry harvesting). Because June's full moon is lower in the horizon, it may sometimes appear to have a pink or red hue.
