Powell Gardens, "Kansas City's Botanical Garden" is located in Kingsville, Missouri. With a three mile long nature trail plus display gardens and seasonal / rotating exhibits, there's so much to see and do - no matter what time of year you visit. Many of the plants are local and all of the grounds are beautifully manicured.

What outdoor public garden do you enjoy visiting?
We spent the afternoon just outside of Kansas City at Powell Gardens. The temperatures were warm, but the blooms at the botanical gardens were beautiful. I can't imagine how long it would take to explore all 175 acres that are open to the public!
