One of the longest serving ancient Egyptian kings, Ramses III, was assassinated in a plot devised by a number of people including one of his wives and a son. Like many of his predecessors, his tomb (KV 11) is located in the Valley of the Kings on the Nile River's west bank. It is one of the longest tombs, has a number of corridors and the reliefs on the walls are well preserved.

Social Media Description

The tomb of Ramses III was the last of the three tombs that we explored that didn't require a "special ticket". It's amazing how similar yet how different each of the tombs in Luxor's Valley of the Kings can be.
