Climb the Stairs of Roloi Tower for a View and a Drink

While strolling the streets and alleys inside the Walled City of Rhodes, be sure to look up and find Roloi Tower. (If you are in the walled city during the evening, it is said that the lighted tower is even more beautiful.) The clock tower dates back to the mid 1800s and still displays the correct time today. Those willing to get a little exercise can climb less than 100 stair steps to reach the top for a view over the city. Included in the entrance fee is a drink at the outdoor cafe - closer to the tower entrance.

What was the last "tower" that you remember climbing?

For us it was Roloi Tower in the Walled City of Rhodes. Although the stairs were a little steep, there were less than 100 to get to the top. There's a few windows with views along the way, but as you would expect, the best panoramic view is from the top. The 5 euro per person entrance fee even includes a drink on the terrace!
