Stroll along a 250+ foot long walkway to get a closer look at the Roman Amphitheatre located on the Hill of Buon Cammino in Cagliari, Sardinia (Italy). Dating back to the second century AD, a part of the theatre (including many of the bleachers where as many as 10,000 or more spectators attended fights between man and beast) was actually carved into the rock. It is said that the arena and underground may open for tour upon completion of the ongoing restoration project.

We decided not to pay the entrance fee to get a slightly closer look at Cagliari's Roman Amphitheater. We heard that once restoration work is complete, visitors will be able to get closer to the ruins.
