Trying to Understand the Inscriptions at Rosslyn Chapel

Rosslyn Chapel has been both a tourist destination and a place of worship since its founding in the mid-15th century. Following the book and movie, The Da Vinci Code, popularity among tourists greatly increased. Short talks help attendees get a better understanding of the meaning of some of the inscriptions as well as the history of the chapel.

Have movies or TV shows ever piqued your interest in a destination?

It was both a movie (The Da Vinci Code) and a TV series (The Curse of Oak Island) that made us want to travel by train to Rosslyn Chapel. We left from Edinburgh, Scotland and made our way to the place where the Knights Templar are believed to have hidden some relics.

There are definitely many peculiar inscriptions on the chapel - things such as graphics of corn carved before Columbus, but only known in the new world. It seems that the Templars (or at least travelers that they knew) had traveled to the new world. Perhaps they hid some of their vast treasures in Nova Scotia or somewhere else in the new world?
