Tanzania | Zanzibar | Spice Islands | Indian Ocean | Menai Bay Conservation Area | Kwale Island | Day Trip | Snorkel | Swim | Dhow Boat | Seafood Lunch
One of the top experiences that visitors to the Spice Islands recommend is enjoying a dip (or snorkel) in the inviting ocean waters. Some choose to stay in an oceanside resort with easy access to the clear blue waters and others plan a one day excursion which typically includes a ride aboard a dhow boat, swimming or snorkeling and a seafood lunch. The choice is yours!

Zanzibar is known for being surrounded by the clear waters of the Indian Ocean. We didn't have enough time during our four day visit for a resort stay, so we did the next best thing - a full day excursion in a wooden dhow boat to the Menai Bay Conservation Area for snorkeling followed by a seafood barbecue lunch on Kwale Island.
We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm, and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open. - Jawaharial Nehru
