Spain | Barcelona | Basilica of the Sagrada Família | La Sagrada Familia | International Evening Mass | Architecture | Interior | Gaudi
Each Saturday at 8:00 PM, a one-hour long International Evening Mass is held at the Basilica of the Sagrada Família. Advance ticket purchase is not required and there is no entrance fee to attend the service, however seating is limited. The line begins forming outside at least two hours prior to the start of the service and entrance into the basilica usually begins about 90 minutes prior. Attending one of the weekly masses offered is one of the few ways to get a glimpse of the inside of La Sagrada Familia without paying for a tour.

Because we were in Barcelona on a Saturday, we were able to attend one of the weekly International Evening Masses at La Sagrada Familia. We queued up nearly two hours before the 8:00 PM start time to ensure that seats would still be available!
