Watching Water Fall 286 Feet at Salt Creek Falls

We made a stop at Salt Creek Falls on our journey between Portland, OR and Crater Lake National Park. Salt Creek Falls has the second highest cascade within the state (behind Multnomah Falls). There's a great viewpoint that's a short distance from the parking area, plus hiking trails for those who want some exercise.

Are you a waterfall lover?

When we were planning our route between Portland, OR and Crater Lake National Park, we noticed a waterfall on the map. Since we haven't found a waterfall that we didn't like, we decided to make a short detour to Salt Creek Falls. We are so glad that we did, as the single drop cascade was beautiful. The timing was also good for the four of us humans to get out and stretch our legs. Charlie, the dog, also enjoyed getting a break from the car journey as well!

What waterfalls have made you change your route so that you could make a stop?
