Spotting Big Cats in Serengeti National Park

Lions, leopards, and cheetahs are the big cats that make their home in the Serengeti National Park. Both lions and leopards are on the "Big Five" game list that people frequently refer to. The park is thought to have the biggest lion population in the entire continent of Africa. Leopards often are spotted camouflaged high up in trees. Cheetahs are both the fastest animals and the most endangered of the big cats.

Social Media Description

Although they're not black cats, they are cats nonetheless ... and they come from our first game drive with Maasai Wanderings in Serengeti National Park. Check out these photos to see the elusive leopard high up in the tree (his "kill" was actually in a nearby tree), a cheetah under a roadside tree (said to be good luck to see) plus many lion cubs and lionesses. We waited to eat our lunch until after 3:00 as we didn't want to miss any of the big cats!

Happy Halloween!
