As far as landmarks go, it's the Pitons that most people associate with the island of St. Lucia. Being in the Caribbean, the island is also known for its undersea life. Why not see both at once - the snorkeling near Gros Piton and Petit Piton is among the best around the island. Grab your snorkel gear (or join an excursion like the Piton Sail and Snorkel) to experience the coral gardens and tropical fish with the Pitons as your background.

Just a sampling of the underwater life that we encountered during our Piton Sail and Snorkel. Both snorkeling spots were near the coastline of Soufriere, St. Lucia. Most pictures are from our first stop as the waters around the second were quite rough. We exited the water early - before the start of the boat rescues to get those struggling in the water back on the catamaran!
