Texas | Georgetown | Sun City | Fourth of July | July 4th | Independence Day | Golf Cart Parade | Red | White | Blue | America | American Flag
There's no shortage of red, white and blue decorations on Independence Day in the United States of America. The year 2026 was no different, yet it was a little different. In celebration of the country's 250th birthday, there was a bit more excitement among many Americans. In addition to the usual neighborhood parades, picnics, festivals and fireworks, there were many shouts of "Happy 250th"!

For those of you that live in the USA, what did you do to celebrate America's 250th birthday? We started off the day by participating in a neighborhood golf cart parade. We enjoyed a July 4th lunch with our next door neighbors and watched evening fireworks in Georgetown's San Gabriel Park.
