Seeking out Every Koala Possible on our Trip to Sydney

On our trip to Australia, Sydney was our home base before, during and after several cruises through Australia, the South Pacific and New Zealand. In addition to several other animal parks along the Australian coast, we visited Sydney's Taronga Zoo. Some of our favorite animals at the park were the koalas! We are so glad the we got the chance to see some of these unique animals as, unfortunately, the recent fires in Australia hurt their habitat.

What animals would you hope to see when in Australia?

We don't usually spend much time at zoos, however we had heard so many positive comments about the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia that we couldn't pass up a visit. First of all, the view of Sydney's harbour is truly amazing from the zoo. (I wonder if the animals appreciate their view?) Secondly, the zoo is home to some animals that are not as common in other parts of the world - like the koala. We couldn't get enough koala sightings during our visit down under!
