A Walk About Canada's Oldest Chinatown

The city of Victoria, the capital of the province of British Columbia, is located on the southern end of Vancouver Island. As travelers explore the city's downtown area, they will find the oldest Chinatown in the country of Canada (and among the oldest on the North American continent). Taking up just three city blocks, Victoria's Chinatown is rather quaint, but in years past it was among the largest in the country.

What city is home to your favorite Chinatown?

We spent several days in Victoria, British Columbia several years ago, but missed out on spending any time in the city's Chinatown. The three block area was recommended to us by some fellow cruisers, and we loved that it was within walking distance from the cruise port!

Do you have a favorite Chinatown from your travels around the world?
