Often referred to as the "Valley of the Moon", the natural desert landscape of Wadi Rum is unlike any other. Exploring the Wadi Rum Protected Area in southern Jordan (near the country's border with Saudi Arabia) is best done on a Jeep tour. Natural features at Wadi Rum include narrow canyons and gorges, cliffs, dunes and natural rock formations including arches and bridges. But that's not all! Rock carvings and petroglyphs show evidence of human life in the area thousands of years ago.

Our "Jeep" tour through Jordan's Wadi Rum was the perfect way to see the natural formations plus evidence of human life from thousands of years ago. Not sure how the guides know where to drive since there are no roads, but they navigated perfectly!
Fun fact: The area has been featured in many full length films including "Lawrence of Arabia".
