Walking the Walls Surrounding Old Town Dubrovnik

The city of Dubrovnik is known as "The Pearl of the Adriatic". The city's Old Town is a medieval walled city - completely surrounded by defensive walls. You never know what surprise will await you as you stroll along the city streets. When visiting the UNESCO city of Dubrovnik, don't miss out on the view from above! While walking on top of the walls, you can enjoy views of both the city and the surrounding blue waters of the Adriatic Sea.

Have you explored any walled cities?

One of our favorites is Dubrovnik, Croatia. Fortunately for us, Dubrovnik has been a port of call on two of our European cruises. Both times we went off on our own and wandered through the maze of streets within the walled city and also walked above the city on the top of the walls. Even though we like to see new places, return visits to such unique cities are very enjoyable!

What's your favorite walled city?
