Israel | Port of Ashdod | Holy Land | Jerusalem | Jewish Quarter | Western Wall | Wailing Wall | Where to Pray
For over 2,000 years, Jewish people from all over the world have traveled to the "Western Wall" to pray. Because of this long standing tradition, people of all faiths visit the wall today. As you face the wall, you'll notice that the entrance on the left is for men and the right entrance is for women. (Once you are inside the area, you'll see a wall between the two sides.) You may also hear references to the "Wailing Wall" - this same wall where you may find visitors crying or "wailing".

What is the one place in Jerusalem that you've heard the most about?
For us, it was probably the "Wailing Wall" or "Western Wall" ... and now we can say that we have actually seen the wall in person. (Well, at least the small part of the wall that is above ground!)
