The Ultimate Abyss, the 10 story slide on Symphony of the Seas (plus several other ships in the same class) is not a water slide - it's a dry slide. Passengers sit on a mat to slide down one of the two tandem tubes. The mat, just long enough for most adults to sit on, is designed with a "pocket" for your feet and wide enough to cover part of the tube on each side. A ship employee provides instructions on how to grasp the handle and off you go!

What's the most fun slide you have slid down?

We finally slid down The Ultimate Abyss, the 10 story dry slide on Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas ... and it was a blast! Once we got to the bottom, we immediately went back up from the 6th to the 16th deck to slide down again. I sure wish we had the courage to slide earlier in the week since the cruise is almost over.
