Explore the Ghost Town at Bankersmith, Texas


    

The land in Fredericksburg, Texas that was originally home to a train depot is now still known by the depot's name of Bankersmith. Today, both locals and tourists visit Bankersmith - some come for food or drinks and others to learn some history of what is often referred to as a ghost town. Throughout the year, guides tell stories of spies, raids and death by hanging or suicide on haunted ghost town tours!

Having never previously heard of it, we recently visited Bankersmith, Texas (near Fredericksburg). Today, Bankersmith is home to a restaurant, bar and dance hall ... plus remnants of a ghost town. Whether the buildings were original or recreated, it was still fun exploring what was once a real town with a train station.
