Monterosso Al Mare: Enjoy a Sea View Balcony

Some of the best and most popular beaches on the Italian Riviera are found in Monterosso al Mare. Those traveling by train will find the largest beach area in Cinque Terre directly across the street from the train station. There are some small sections of beach that can be enjoyed without a fee, but plan on arriving very early during the summer time to find a space to call your own. You can also splurge and enjoy one of the lidos that include lounge chairs and umbrellas in your fee.

What destinations are on your travel bucket list?

Cinque Terre, the region in northwest Italy that is made up of five towns, has been on mine for longer than I can remember. Now, I have finally checked it off!

We spent three days in a "room with a view" and explored all five of the towns that make up Cinque Terre. Although not crowded by any means, even in mid-October, the beaches in Monterosso still draw people for a vacation on the Italian Riviera!
