The rooftop terrace above Castel Sant'Angelo has one of the best views of Rome and the Tiber River as well as St. Peter's Basilica and Vatican City. Also known as the Terrace of the Angel, it's the best place to get a close-up of the statue of Archangel Michael. A visit to the terrace is included in the price of entry to Castel Sant'Angelo National Museum. If you have the option, it is said that the sunset view is one of the best!
