A garden of bronze leaves surrounds a "Pathway of Heroes". Bricks engraved with the names and service dates of soldiers and life-size sculptures along the pathway lead up to Memorial Hill. Atop the hill is a larger than life monument with the likeness of a local soldier who was killed in 2008.
Six laser enscribed granite panels on the base of the monument honor the branches of the U. S. Military. Laser art on the obelisk even includes some Texas references. Lined up on one side of the monument are six concrete scrolls, each displaying a bronze seal of one of the branches of the military.
