Touring an Infinite Veranda Stateroom on Celebrity Ascent
Staterooms with a balcony have been around on cruise ships for many years. A newer cabin class offered on some Celebrity and Royal Caribbean cruise ships is known as the Infinite Balcony or Infinite Veranda. Unlike a traditional balcony that you enter after walking "outside" through a sliding door, an infinite balcony is more similar to a sunroom. Rather than a glass door sliding left or right, an infinite balcony has a floor to ceiling window that lowers to the halfway point creating the feel of a balcony.
