Sail along the Chena River on a three hour tour with Riverboat Discovery. After departing from Steamboat Landing, you'll pass Trail Breaker Kennel where you will "meet" some of the sled dogs preparing for upcoming races. Get off the steamboat at Chena Village and learn about the early Athabascan people (and "meet" some reindeer). Sail the short distance back to the dock and pay a visit to the "40-Below Room"!

We started Day 38 with a journey along the Chena River aboard the steamboat "Discovery III". In addition to disembarking for a short visit at Chena Village, we learned some history along the way. Upon our return to Steamboat Landing, we made a quick visit to the "40-Below Room". We spent our afternoon exploring North Pole and seeing the Trans-Alaska Pipeline before returning to Fairbanks.
