The Italian city of Rome is home to more than 2,000 squares (known locally as piazzas). As you stroll the short distance from one to another, you'll notice that each is filled with both locals and tourists. While some may use a square as a gathering or meeting point, others may be standing by a fountain and enjoying an afternoon chat or shopping in the daily market. Most of the squares are also home to one or more restaurants offering al fresco dining. When the temperatures are nice, an outdoor table is the perfect setting to end your day and make plans for tomorrow!

We spent our final four nights overseas in Rome before heading northwest to the port where we'd board our ship to return home. I am a pasta lover and couldn't get enough of the pasta during our travels through Italy, and Rome was no different!
